Josh Pihlak and Cathy Evans were the undisputed favourite couple of Married At First Sight 2020.
WATCH: MAFS’ Cathy and Josh’s relationship on the rocks after commitment ceremony
Amid all the drama, wife swapping, tears and tantrums, who would’ve thought the experts might actually get a match right?
But sadly, it looks like that may all be over now, as the golden couple has barely spoken since the commitment ceremony that exposed the growing rift between them.

No longer sharing the marital bed, Josh, 28, revealed that Cathy, 26, has “shut him out”.
“When you get ignored for three days it hurts,” he said.
They’ve made a pact that they won’t talk about “all our issues in front of friends and family” explained Cathy. But this isn’t our first rodeo, we know what that means. Issues will be the talk of the table.

Cathy, who cooked an authentic Thai feast for their guests, invited her friends while Josh invited his mum, Mandy and auntie Sue.
The lunch started off well, with everyone toasting to Cathy and Josh “Having a bonk” (Auntie Sue’s words), enjoying the food and laughing.
Then Josh just absolutely spilled the tea on the dinner party, the commitment ceremony and everything afterward.
Despite Cathy trying to eye signal Josh and keep the details private, Josh just kept spilling.
“I know she felt distant and I’ve been feeling rejected,” he said. “You don’t say hello to me, you don’t start a conversation with me… I’m getting nothing, I don’t exist.”

Cathy then shared to the camera that she was furious and hadn’t ignored him.
“So how long did it go with her ignoring you?” asked Mandy.
When Josh said it’d been three days, Cathy looked livid and Mandy was not happy.
“For you to ignore him for three whole days, that breaks my heart,” said Mandy. “He’s here with no family, that really hurts me.
“Don’t ever ignore my son again. Don’t ignore my son Cath, not while he’s down here away from his family.”

And Josh just sat there. Twenty-eight-year-old, two years off 30, Josh, just sat next to his mum silent while she savaged his ‘wife.’
Cringe.
No wonder Cathy is livid.
