Married At First Sight‘s Martha Kalifatidis has come clean about her “marriage” to Michael Brunelli.
Talking to 9Honey, Martha confirmed that Michael hasn’t relocated to Sydney form Melbourne – despite reports to the contrary – and that dropping the “L-word” doesn’t come naturally to her.
“Saying ‘I love you’ is not a term I throw around loosely. For me, when you tell someone how you feel it, or tell someone you love them, it’s massive,” she told the publication.
“It’s not just like, ‘Hey, you’re cute. I love you.’”
She added, “‘I love you’ is, ‘I can’t live without you, I need you like an organ, I see my entire future with you.’”
“So, as you can imagine, it’s hard for me to say because it carries such weight. ‘I love you’ was not something we said a lot in my house growing up. We didn’t express ourselves emotionally.”
As for Michael quitting his teaching job and moving to Sydney, “Everything is still up in the air at the moment. Michael loves Bondi and would love to live here with me,” she explained.
“Obviously he’d need to get everything in place before making the move. I’ve been more than happy to hang out back home in the meantime.”
