Over the weekend, MAFS’ golden couple Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant legally tied the knot in front of their closest friends and family.
WATCH: Melissa calls Jules “cold” in a brutal Instagram rant
Noticeably missing from the bridal party was her former best friend and Married At First Sight co-star, Melissa Lucarelli— who revealed last month she was unexpectedly dumped as a bridesmaid and cut from the guest list via text message.
Clearly still upset with Jules’ “cold” and “hurtful” actions, Mel took to Instagram on Sunday evening to blast the bubbly redhead in an emotional rant.
“I’ve had so many messages and people keep asking me what the story is. So yes, it is true, Jules dumped me as a bridesmaid,” a tearful Mel began. “As for why, I’m honestly not sure… she kept changing her reasons and none of them made sense.
She continued: “It really all just came out of the blue and I didn’t see it coming at all. Of course, you’re allowed to change your mind about who you want as a bridesmaid, but I just feel like the way it was done was really cold and rather hurtful.”
Mel later admitted she felt “humiliated” when she discovered Jules and Cam had agreed for their wedding to be televised on A Current Affair.
“I guess it just makes the public dumping of you as a bridesmaid for no reason that little bit more embarrassing, hurtful, confusing,” a distressed Mel revealed. “I wish I was never asked to be a bridesmaid in the first place so I wasn’t in this position.”
While Jules is yet to publicly address their bitter falling out, Jessika Power recently weighed in on the scandal, siding with Mel in an unexpected yet blistering social media tirade.
“I actually have to back Mel on this. Throughout filming, Jules would say Martha [Kalifatidis] and I were only there for social media and endorsements, but since the show ended it seems that’s all Jules is for also,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram story.
“It’s really sad to see that Jules dropped Mel as a bridesmaid but not surprising, it seems everything that woman does these days is calculated and beneficial for her and her only.
Then, in an Instagram Q&A, Jess took another swipe at her archenemy, slamming her for allegedly being an expert at “milking” the drama and turning bad press into a profit.
“I think Mel is such a bubbly girl. She’s not about the drama. She’s so open, honest and genuine,” Jessika began. “So to see her dropped as a bridesmaid… I wasn’t that shocked. I stand by what I said and a lot of what Jules does is calculative. I think she has learnt how to milk what is happening.”
She went on to sarcastically praise Jules, saying: “I mean, good on you and all power to you if you can get things out of this opportunity. But to see somebody like Mel hurt and be shout out and neglected… it’s just sh*t.”
