‘We’ve had a bit of a spanner in the works,’ Michael told the group when he and Stacey faced the experts at the final commitment ceremony of the season.
‘I got hit with a curve ball. Adelaide is home. It was our plan to move in together as soon as this experiment ends. I just got an email and one of my staff has resigned in Victoria. And as an interim solution, I have to move over there for three months as soon as possible,’ he explained.
Stacey’s face said it all, and nothing, all at the same time.
‘Have you got a solution?’ expert, John Aiken asked the couple.

‘The solution is to basically do a long distance relationship with the hope of the light at the end of the tunnel after three months,’ Michael explained.
‘It is gonna be challenging, especially for me, you, know. I’m not used to being alone. I like to surround myself with people. But I don’t want those nights out with the boys anymore… I’d rather do those FaceTime’s with Stacey. I’m 100 percent committed to it from my end,’ he insisted.
But the group wasn’t so sure.
Dr Trisha turned to Stacey, asking: ‘How do you feel about Michael being left to his own devices?’

‘Good question,’ she replied.
‘I think my trust will be really put to test because I was thinking, this will be an issue for me. Him moving to Melbourne is big and a huge thing for my trust
‘I have so many doubts, this thing might not work,’ Stacey admitted, turning to Michael.
‘It’s not the ideal situation, it’s not what I wanted, it’s not what we planned. But at the end of the day, I can’t control it… I have to allow him to make the best decisions he can on his own. I’ve got to have trust and faith.’
‘I am in love with you, this isn’t lust,’ Michael assured her.
Stacey said Michael’s behaviour is in God’s hands, after all, he did reveal on Tuesday night that he was now a ‘f–king saint’ employed ‘by the Catholic Church. ‘I do have doubts, but I can’t control it… it will work if we want it to.’
Michael tried his best to reassure her, ‘I’m in it ‘til the end.’
