Prior to lunch at her mum and dad’s house, Lizzie told viewers, ‘My parents’ opinion means everything. So if they don’t like him, it gives me a lot of think about.’

The moment the happy couple sat down to eat, the 20 questions came in hard and fast. It incredible that Seb managed to get down – and keep down – his meal at all!

It went like this…

Gillian: ‘Are you family orientated?’

Seb: ‘I’m very close to all my family members…’

Gillian: ‘If you don’t get one with us, then you’re in big trouble. Watch out!

‘What do you do?’

Seb: ‘I’m studying creative arts. I was studying psychology and commerce but I quit halfway through.’

Gillian: ‘Would you go back and finish the other two?’

Seb: ‘Probably not.’

Gillian: ‘Why not?’

Turning to the camera, Gillian snapped: ‘I’m the sort of person that finishes something, regardless of whether I love it or hate it.’ Viewers were left wondering what Gillian’s qualifications are.

Gillian: ‘So what do you do? I don’t even know.’

Seb: ‘I’m a personal trainer and a construction worker.’

Gillian: ‘What does that pay?’

Seb: ‘Umm…’

Gillian: ‘Not much?’

Poor Seb, he was trying to keep up with his mother-in-law, who refused to find out about his caring, loving and protective side.

Seb: I’ve tried work in pretty much every industry trying to work out what I love. And once I find that and I’m more established, mature and also I know who I am as a stable base, then I make the money and rapidly achieve that.’

Gillian told viewers that, ‘Lizzie is more mature. I think she’s more mature than he is.’

She accused Seb of having no ambition or drive, and pestered him about having a ‘savings goal’ and no ‘investment property’.

‘You’re 31!’ she snapped. ‘Why has it taken so long? Lizzie needs a person with reasonable income to sustain the life she’s become a custom to.’

‘What’s the life she’s a custom to?’ Seb asked, adding that she’ll have to settle Swarovski over diamonds for the time being, which only infuriated Gillian more.

‘You’ll need to earn a lot of money… she’s not cheap. I like stability. I like somebody who knows what they want. I like someone who has a deposit,’ Gillian told Seb.

Then Lizzie’s father stepped in, telling Seb that his daughter was ambitious and hard-working. ‘I’d like to see you more focused. What’s your end goal?’

‘I feel personally attacked,’ Seb said, probably remembering that Lizzie works in retail.

Finally, Lizzie said something, albeit, to producers. ‘Oh God. Poor Seb.’
