Wednesday night’s episode of Married At First Sight might be the most shocking, offensive and chilling yet.
At the very end of the episode, viewers saw how Ivan Sarakula manipulated the entire cast to turn against his wife, Aleks Markovic – and it was all part of his grand scheme to win her affections, after she told him the relationship was over.

The dinner party stared out well between the MAFS cast, until Michael Goonan began harassing Aleks about her sex life with Ivan.
According to Aleks, her and Ivan were yet to consummate the marriage, and after the commitment ceremony a week earlier, she’d come to the realisation that they were friends, not soul mates.
But Michael couldn’t comprehend how Aleks could have feelings for him one day only to have fizzled the next.
‘I think I was in a love bubble,’ she explained.
But Michael wasn’t accepting it. In a snarky tone, with volume so the rest of the table could hear the berating, he snapped, ‘Please. You may as well tell me Santa Claus is coming. What a load of nonsense. I’ve never heard so much crap in my life.’
Michael then explained that when he cheated on Stacey – which he strenuously denies – that he was honest with his wife and the rest of the group, and so, she should be honest about the status of her vagina.
‘I was entirely honest. You’re not givin’ the same respect back,’ he said.

‘How? What do you want me to say?’ she said, exhausted.
Michael claimed that Aleks told her they’d slept together, when in fact she said they had been intimate, and by intimate, she meant ‘kissing and pashing.’
Aleks has said countless times that she’s not comfortable talking about her sex life. In return, Michael kept branding her a liar who was ‘making a mug’ out of ‘my mate’ Ivan.
Josh piped up, telling the group that Aleks had told him the same thing. Once again, she didn’t use the word ‘sex’, just that they’d been intimate.
When asked if she used the word ‘sex’, Josh backtracked, turning the attention to Ivan and claiming HE told them they’ve had intercourse.
Once again, WHY DOES IT MATTER? And WHY DOES SHE HAVE TO CONFESS?
‘She’s bang out of order… don’t say you haven’t been intimate when you have been intimate,’ Michael snapped.
Michael accused Aleks of ‘lying to two people’, him and Josh.
All the while, Ivan is saying nothing to defend Aleks. The boys even say he’s ‘whipped’ by Aleks. Michael says he’s ‘terrified’ of Aleks even.
‘Guys, I don’t feel cheated, I don’t feel dumped, Ivan finally said about Aleks ending their relationship. ‘I still care for the woman. I recognise that she is missing something and maybe I’m not that person. I will be OK with that.’
The whole table was very ‘poor Ivan,’ while Aleks was painted the villain. She stormed out and Ivan went after her, all the while, the rest of the table was getting bitchy.
Michael claimed that Aleks was cheat on Ivan and that she told him so. He said he told Ivan, and funnily enough, Ivan didn’t seem stressed. What was he playing at? He’s not upset that the woman he says he loves, was with another man?

Mishel Meshes told how she and Aleks went to a Serbian event where they met a guy and girl.
According to Mishel, the guy took an interest in Aleks. ‘She’s falling some wanker that’s got a car. He’s probably got a small dick,’ Mishel said, again, not actually knowing if they were dating, just that they met once.
Expert Trisha cut in, ‘She’s making a fool of him!’
Michael did the rounds, telling everyone at the table. ‘The guys getting made to look like a mug.’
Trisha added, ‘How extraordinary that Ivan is still protecting her.’
Aleks and Ivan returned to the table. Mishel confronted her about ‘cheating’ on Ivan.
‘Michael’s lying. I’m a very honest person, I was raised to be an honest person.’
Standing up from her seat, she marched over to Michael who was sitting back, smuggly in his seat. ‘So I went on a date? Are you f–king serious?’ she roared.
‘Guys, I didn’t go on a date the other night. I met a girl a few weeks ago with Mishel. We went to a Serbian event. She took us out to a Serbian restaurant and the owner sat with us, he’s actually about 50 to 60 years old, so sorry guys if that’s disrespectful to the experiment, but I just want you to know I wasn’t on a romantic date. He’s the same age as my dad!
‘Going on a date with another man and leaving Ivan, I would never do that.’
Jonny was about the only person that appeared to believed her.

Then, Josh dropped a bombshell in his piece to camera, he said Ivan called him to say he was devo Aleks had ended things, and told him and Michael, ‘We’ve been rootin’ like rabbits for weeks.’
Josh added that Ivan had asked them to bring up the sex and cheating at the table and even winked at the men as they performed their rolls. ‘It feels like we got used,’ he said. Poor Josh and Michael.
As the men hounded Aleks, Ivan played the supportive, understanding and accepting husband roll to a tee.
Aleks stormed out, exhausted and devastated by news that Ivan 100 percent told the men they’ve been ‘rooting like rabbits.’ Everything she thought was real between her and Ivan was a lie.
Sadly, everyone at the table only felt sorry for Michael and Josh for being conned, however, the super-intelligent Michael was yet to catch on, and was still berating Aleks to anyone who would listen.
‘Ivan’s a con artist! I think Ivan didn’t want to look rejected,’ Lizzie observed, only after Aleks pointed out to the group that Ivan obviously didn’t want his ‘masculinity’ tarnished by losing his wife.
Connie piped up to the gals, telling Lizzie and Stacey, ‘I thought he did it on purpose. I thought he stitched them up on purpose so he could look like a hero for Aleks to try and win her back.’
Once again, poor Josh and Michael.
Behind the scenes, Ivan was scrambling to be Aleks’ hero, after she was hounded, harassed and bullied by the MAFS cast.
‘There is no way I staged for any of that shit to come out tonight. No way,’ he insisted. Aleks was in tears, trying to leave the location.
‘I don’t care if I lose friends, I didn’t come here for friends… I’ve said to all these people protecting you is at the forefront of my interests,’ he insisted.
Aleks cried, ‘I want to go, but I don’t even know if I trust you.’
In a final, creepy piece to camera, Ivan said, ‘I love Aleks. I know the ins and outs of her as a woman, and as a human being. There is still a shimmer of hope in me to win her back romantically.’
