However, perhaps her close friendship with Ryan’s cheating ex-wife Davina Rankin had some influence over Charlotte’s decision to keep their relationship platonic.
Unearthed footage from Charlotte and Davina’s appearance at the City Beach store on the Gold Coast shows the former Married At First Sight star calling the hilarious Brit her best friend… I repeat, her BEST FRIEND!
The unexpected insight into their close friendship comes after Ryan slammed his MAFS ex-wife, revealing she hinted she was going to cheat on him with one of their co-stars.
Discussing their deeply flawed television marriage, Ryan told his campmates that after they were intimate on their disastrous honeymoon, she subtly warned him she was going to make a pass at one of their co-star. As we know, she later embarked on a secret affair with Dean Wells.
“We were on the honeymoon, and we were intimate and stuff like that. You sort of get lost in the moment,” the comedian told Miguel Maestre, Tom Williams and Charlotte Crosby, who were absolutely loving the drama!
“As we’re flying back from the honeymoon, as we were landing, she goes, ‘You know when we get back we meet other people and you can hook up with anyone’,” he said.
While he said he was disappointed she betrayed his trust, the hunky comedian later claimed he never had feelings for his ex-wife.
“I just felt like an idiot because I didn’t see what was coming. I felt like a dipstick on camera. I didn’t feel heartbroken, I just felt like an absolute idiot.”
Since Ryan spilled never-before-heard details about their tumultuous relationship, Davina has broken her silence, claiming she couldn’t care less about his opinion of her. She also confirmed her decision to not fire back at his explosive claims is due to the fact she’s busy caring for her daughter, who she welcomed two months ago.
“I haven’t heard or watched anything, so I don’t actually know what you’re talking about. I don’t need to make any comment, it’s pretty irrelevant to me,” she told Daily Mail Australia.
