This isn’t an article, it’s an open letter to the producers of Married At First Sight Australia. Yeah, we have a lot of questions. Number one, how dare you? Number two, we know it’s not really your fault, but how DARE you catch us out in our feelings like this.
WATCH: Domenica and Jack on their wedding day
On the Reunion episode of Married At First Sight, all of the contestants got back together for a night of casual drinks and outrageous conversation.
Among the many chaotic topics set to be covered throughout the evening, one specific reveal was actually of the most interest to fans.
With Jack Millar and Domenica Calarco arriving separately, the pair revealed they had in fact split after delivering their romantic Final Vows.
That sound you just heard was the breaking heart of a nation. Also, this author threw her phone across the room in sadness.
The Vows were filmed in November 2021, while the Reunion was filmed in January 2022, meaning the relationship broke down in those weeks between filming.
Domenica and Jack revealed they were confused by what had gone wrong in the relationship after they’d left the show – with both admitting they still had feelings left to explore.
“It kind of fizzled – I don’t know what happened, and I’m left very confused,” Domenica told the producers of their split after the show.
“I don’t know what happened – I’m feeling so gutted,” Jack added.
At the dinner table, they opened up to one another about the split, and it seemed as though mixed signals were to blame. Jack thought Domenica wasn’t interested in their romance anymore, she thought the same of him.
“It’s unresolved. If they keep talking they’re going to get back together,” expert Mel Schilling said as they watched the exchange.
Before the episode aired, there were some conflicting clues about whether or not Domenica and Jack were together.
He had been filmed showing up to the Reunion alone in leaked footage, but the pair are spending so much time together now that it looks like they may have rekindled the romance.
Relationship or not, Domenica and Jack are in a tight-knit circle with fellow contestants including Ella Ding, Brent Vitiello and Al Perkins.
“We are all so close,” Ella tells WHO. “I’m in Sydney like every second weekend just so I can hang out with them.
“And we have a group chat that we talk in 500 times a day – we’re just like this little family, and the support is there. They understand what you’ve been through.”
“We talk all day every day and support each other,” adds Domenica. “We know that what happened in that environment is one thing, one part of our lives. We’re all friends now and what we’re going to make of life now is a completely different story.”
To watch the Reunion episode on Sunday, April 3rd, Domenica threw a viewing party that was attended by the group of friends. Jack was seen alongside Dom throughout the evening, hinting they are indeed back together.
We’ve got our fingers crossed that, as soon as the show ends, Domenica and Jack can confirm the happy news!
Married At First Sight Australia continues Monday, 7:30pm, on Nine Network and 9Now.
