Unlike every other couple on this season of the dating experiment, the retail manager and aspiring actor are the perfect fit and it’s been an absolute pleasure watching their relationship go from strength to strength each week— aside from that little hiccup with Lizzie’s savage mum.
But ahead of tonight’s final vows— which will no doubt have us reaching for the tissues— let’s take a trip down memory lane and remember what they said at the alter before tying the knot.
Lizzie’s Vows:
“I believe in love. Please know that you can absolutely trust me when I vow to stand by you, to protect you and support you.
“I ask in return that you be true to yourself and open up your heart to me to accept me as I am, as I accept you. I want to fall head over heels with you. I want this to be our love story.
“I want to feel home like home to you where you feel safe and at your best. From this day on you have my complete devotion and I promise to be your personal cheerleader.
“This time last year I married a complete stranger — like I am again today — but that groom robbed me of the opportunity to open my heart and give it a go.
“I experienced a husband who didn’t stand by his word. I am terrified to be doing this all over again but I promise you I’m ready to open my heart, my mind and my soul to you.
“Life can be absolutely beautiful and perhaps this is a chapter in our happiness, and I’m so happy to have you beside me.”
Seb’s Vows:
“To my dear future wife,
“I’m so excited to be standing up here with you today. I’ve been looking for someone for quite some time to share my life with. I understand this is a little crazy being the first time that we’ve met but I believe you never really know where and how you might find love.
“I want to be that someone you can really rely on, tell your deepest secrets to and feel safe with. I’m a loyal man — trust is so important to me.
“I want to be able to build you up when you’re feeling down and ride with you in a barrel of laughs when things are going great. For me that’s what this is all about, I hope that I’m the man you’ve been looking for. Let’s be the missing link in our lives.
