She had an explosive break up with Liam Cooper and found herself in hot water after briefly uploading an infamous homophobic and fatphobic video about him.

But Georgia Fairweather, who previously admitted she was “very regretful” about her participation in the video, has none about her Married At First Sight experience as a whole.

“I’m very regretful about my participation in that but I’ve apologised a lot and we’ve come past that but it wasn’t very good,” she said of the clip back in April to the Hit Network’s Stav, Abby and Matt.

“It was never intended to cause hurt and I’m very regretful about it.”

But when asked if she has any regrets looking back at her time on MAFS, Georgia tells WHO, “Not really because it’s all part of the journey.”

“Obviously, hindsight’s very easy to look back and go ‘Gee I wish I did that differently’ but it’s a crazy experience that no one can really understand unless you lived through it and you have to ride those waves. You learn things through everything so all in all it was an amazing experience.”

Georgia adds that she and her on-screen husband, who is currently dating former New Zealand MAFS contestant Samuel Levi, are not in contact.

MAFS was a crazy thing that we went through together but we had a bit of an intense break up so we’ve gone our separate ways. I wish him nothing but happiness, he seems happy so that’s great.”

These days, Georgia’s living her best single life.

“I’m just focusing on me,” she says. “They always say that you shouldn’t make any life-changing decisions six to 12 months after an intense thing like that so I’m sort of going with that. I just got divorced so not ready just yet!”

However, she is close with one of season eight’s success stories and hopes that one day Kerry Knight and Johnny Balbuziente will officially get married again.

“I love them – they’re so beautiful as people and they’re really good together so I would love to see that,” adding that she’d “love to be involved” at their hypothetical real wedding.

When asked if she’d ever take on another reality TV project in the future, Georgia has a “never say never” approach, but wouldn’t do a second round of MAFS.

“I have a lot better understanding of how it all works now so it would depend,” she says. “MAFS I wouldn’t do again because I had my experience and enjoyed my time and sometimes it’s best to leave it at that.”

Georgia’s latest project is all about educating millennial and Gen Z women on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology via TikTok.

“It’s sort of a new space where there’s been a lot of smoke and mirrors around in the last few years,” she says. “I think it’s a really great way to teach millennials ways and opportunities to make extra income and this new technology in general.”

Having worked in events for five years for a blockchain company in Hong Kong and going on to start her own events company with her mum, Georgia had the opportunity to travel and meet key players in the industry while blockchain was still emerging.

“With events that’s where people announce the new thing and discuss movements in the industry so it’s the best place to learn. Most of the speakers that are there are the people that are creating and changing the industry – you’re getting it from the horse’s mouth!”
