Alright, I’m just going to say it: There is nothing I love more than watching Married At First Sight contestants go off at each other. Not only does a rogue wine throwing scene or brutal screaming match spice up my boring life, but it’s a cracking conversation starter.

So, on that note, let’s chat about last night’s dinner party because my family is sick of me banging on about Hayley casually dropping the c-bomb at the table. Just moments after the contestants sat down to enjoy a meal, resident pot-stirrer Ivan Sarkula decided to pick a fight with the bodybuilder, sarcastically saying: “You’ve been having f*cking dramas huh?” You’re the f*cking talk of the town.”
As expected, Hayley didn’t take too kindly to his comment, hitting back with a below the belt remark.
“You’re a little weasel.”
LOL.
Then, after Ivan asked if they could start over, she wasn’t having a bar of it and proceeded to not only flick a piece of paper at his face but call him a “c**t”.
Understandably, her distasteful insult rubbed some people the wrong way, with a bunch of enraged viewers claiming on Twitter that these expletives shouldn’t be thrown around so casually.
Firstly, this is why we all watch the show (right??) and secondly, MAFS producers were actually forced to edit the entire scene because the bust-up was far too rogue to make it to air!
So count your lucky stars.
Speaking about their dispute on the Kyle & Jackie O Show this morning, the real estate agent said things escalated and took a turn for the worse very quickly, leaving Nine Network executives no choice but to discard the footage.
“It got a bit more hectic than that. Don’t you remember the bridge up?” Ivan asked Hayley while on air.
“We were head butting. Hayley bridged up and then I bridged up and there were a few too many swear words to put that in the edit last night.”
Interestingly, this isn’t the second time the producers have had to delete scenes. New reports surfaced yesterday claiming executives were left scrambling when Michael Goonan sank one too many beers, flew off the handle and started badmouthing his wife Stacey Hampton in front of hundreds of guests during their honeymoon dinner date.
“Stacey left him alone because he was drinking so much and she wanted an early night, and then he kept calling her a bimbo once she’d walked off,” said an onlooker who was trying to enjoy a meal at the hotel bar the couple was dining at.
“He was also telling everybody how rich he is, how expensive his watch is, and how he doesn’t need the show or Stacey.”
After the soon-to-be lawyer stormed out and went to bed, multiple patrons at the bar made complaints about Michael’s distasteful behaviour, eventually leading to him being kicked out.
“Someone that was with him, who I think was a producer, had to step in after a guy called him a muppet or something,” another eyewitness said.
Knowing what really happened behind the scenes makes it easier to comprehend why the mum-of-two saw red when she woke up next to her husband the next day. And while many viewers complained she took far too long to forgive him for a few inconsequential mistakes, it’s clear we didn’t see the half of it!
