While most were hoping to see sparks fly between Hayley Vernon and David Cannon, the Married At First Sight couple’s relationship has gone from bad to worse in the last week.

And while the outspoken bodybuilder revealed last night she wanted to give their relationship another go and had feelings for the truck driver, she told KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O this morning that she seriously thought at one point he could be gay.
Discussing last night’s dinner party antics and David’s confession he found Hayley’s sexual advances confronting and uncomfortable, radio shock jock Kyle said he found it bizarre he turned her down. After that scene aired and the MAFS groom showed his co-stars the scratch she’d allegedly left on his face, Kyle said that also led him to question David’s sexuality.
“You thought, whatever, I am going to kiss him. I am a beautiful woman what’s wrong with this guy?” Kyle said and Hayley added, “Oh, you’re speaking my language.”
“And then you went in again and said, ‘oh, he must be gay.'”
“Oh my god, you took the words out of my mouth,” Hayley said with a laugh. “Here we go, we’re in trouble.”
“That’s the first thing I’m wondering,” Kyle responded.
“I was wondering that when I was in the hotel room when I was walking around in a pair of underwear and he’s watching YouTube clips. That wasn’t the first time I’d questioned that.”
At this point in time, I think it’s pretty obvious we know where David and Hayley stand… and there’s a lot of bad blood between the pair.
Last week, the controversial star unleashed on his wife in an expletive-laden video— which was taken during his honeymoon— claiming Hayley gave him a number of reasons to question her sobriety throughout the dating experiment.
“Her idea of being a reformed drug addict is her turning around and saying she doesn’t do any hard drugs… but still smokes weed,” David said in the 11-minute clip obtained by New Idea exclusively.
“And then she said, ‘I don’t mind having a cheeky line now and again.’ That’s someone who is still an addict. They’ve matched me with a smoking drug addict who is so inconsiderate and rude.”
Refusing to mince his nasty words, David also revealed he “feels sorry” for Hayley’s father, saying: “I feel for her father. He seemed like a really nice and genuine guy. He kicked her out once before because she was a drug addict. And I don’t think he’s going to be proud that this is the way his daughter has behaved.”
Since Hayley caught wind of David’s comments, she’s responded to these accusations, telling New Idea that any suggestion she has an ongoing drug problem is completely false and insists she has tests results to prove it.
“There’s been an article come out where David says I might not be as clean as what I’m saying,” said the furious finance broker who has been open about her debilitating, decade long drug dependency.
“He can say whatever the f*** he wants… but the absolute truth is, I was blood tested halfway between the filming and before I got on the filming. For a period of eight-to-nine weeks, I was getting drug tested.”
Due to her challenging past, Hayey told the outlet the show’s executive producer kept a close eye on her throughout the experiment and ensured there were strategies in place in the event of an emergency.
“I got drug tested on the show. I had to do a pee test, I had to do a full blood test – the duty of care was always above and beyond. Do you want me to send the stick I peed on?
“Still to this day I’m seeing the show’s physiatrist and making sure I’m seeing my mentors and the fact that David is clutching at straws to say something so awful.”
