At the second Commitment Ceremony of this year’s Married At First Sight, groom James drops a massive bombshell that he’s in love with another woman in the experiment shocking not only his wife Jo but the entire group.
But that’s not the only revelation we learned about James this week – in fact, James isn’t even his real first name.
According to a report by The Wash, the 44-year-old MAFS’ groom’s full name is Cengiz James Susler.
The publication found out James’ real name on the Australian Business Register and discovered that he uses his middle name instead.
Cengiz is a Turkish name that means “Strong; Ruler of the Ocean; universal lord”.
Whilst the Coco and Cam drama as well as Bryce and Sam’s ongoing feud seems to be the main talking points of this Sunday’s Commitment Ceremony, James makes a surprise announcement to the group.
“I think I’m just going to come clean and say something to you,” the prestige car company owner tells his wife on the couch.
“I’m in love with another woman.”
A shocked Jo asks “Is it someone in the experiment?” to which James confirms it is.
New Idea previously reported that James had the hots for none other than expert Alessandra Rampolla.
“He always expected to be matched with someone more on his level in terms of status, career and wealth – and the person closest to his level is Alessandra,” New Idea’s on-set spy spilled.
“Joanne is a single mum trying to support three kids off a hairdresser’s wage, that shops at Kmart, and he’s a multimillionaire – it was always going to be difficult.”
James’ confession pretty much confirms that he and his on-screen bride are no longer together.
In video footage obtained by the Daily Mail, James was spotted at a Melbourne night club getting cosy with a mystery woman.
“He was seen dancing the night away, they were kissing on the dance floor and he clearly didn’t care who saw,” a witness told the publication.
The MAFS groom was also reportedly spotted chatting to last season’s star Stacey Hampton in the VIP section of the venue.
What’s more, in an interview with Queensland radio duo Cliffo and Gabi after their wedding episode, Jo’s answers made fans think that their marriage was doneso.
The show’s hosts noticed that the bride was referring to her and James’ relationship in past tense but quickly backtracked.
