It’s no secret Married At First Sight producers are adept at manipulating contestants in exchange for further air time or a more favourable portrayal.
So it’s little wonder a fed up Jonethen Musulin is now the fourth MAFS contestant to expose what happened when the cameras stopped rolling.
In an extremely bold move, the controversial groom defied Nine Network when he told New Idea that his relationship with Connie Craydon was, ahem, entirely fake!
After his feelings for his TV bride failed to develop amid news his dad’s health was rapidly deteriorating, the FIFO worker said he begged producers to let him quit the series. However, they weren’t willing to tear up his contract so easily!

“I told producers that I was leaving and that there was nothing they could do about it,” he told New Idea.
“They had already lost so many contestants so that’s when they said to me, ‘What can we do to make you stay?'”

Sadly, Connie was also battling it out with MAFS showrunners, with an insider telling New Idea she was pressured into writing “stay” during multiple commitment ceremonies.
“[Two producers] pulled Connie aside for over two hours and they made her rewrite what she had written on her card,” the source dished.
“They stood over her and put pressure on her to write ‘stay’ instead of ‘leave’. Connie came out and she had been crying. It was a very harrowing situation for her and filming was delayed for 2.5 hours that night because of it all.”
Perhaps she’s harbouring some resentment towards the network? After all, she cheekily confirmed yesterday morning that after a tough go on the experiment, she’s found love again.
Showing no signs of heartbreak, the 27-year-old was recently pictured getting intimate with a mystery man while soaking up the sun during a day by the beach.

In the photographs and videos obtained by New Idea, the former MAFS bride couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she rolled around on the sand in her bathing suit. Then, after a brief dip in the water, Connie was spotted preparing to give her blonde beau a neck massage while he tanned.
