MAFS: Jonny sees RED FLAGS – and Connie’s left heartbroken

Jonethen was shell-shocked when Connie asked to ‘leave’ the experiment at Married At First Sight‘s most recent commitment ceremony.

But now, he’s beginning to see his marriage for what it really is.

‘I’m really struggling right now. We had these guideline’s this week, which basically told me not to be me,’ he told producers.

Meanwhile, Connie thinks their marriage is better than ever, especially since their ‘self help’ exercise which showed them writing things they needed to improve on, on a mirror.

‘I’ve been really happy [this week],’ she said.

Connie was particularly chipper. She ‘finally’ got to go on a lawn bowls date with her husband, and he’s become submissive.

‘I’ve been trying not to hurt her feelings,’ he told viewers, gearing up to tell her how he’s really feeling. ‘There’s just been a bunch of negative things and a bunch of red flags to me.’

Then, the moment of truth in a very public place. Under the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

‘Am I lying to myself about seeing a future?’ Jonny asked Connie, a rhetorical question.

Connie was shook. She thought their marriage was perfect.

‘It was a huge slap in the face. A huge round-house kick in the face,’ she said.

Jonny explained, ‘I think this last week has been so good because I haven’t been myself. I’m so on edge with what I can say at the moment… I’m walking on eggshells.

‘How is this going to work? We’re sacrificing too much of ourselves to make this work.’

Connie is gobsmacked.

‘I’ve been feeling really good, like, really, really good. Like, this is the first week I have been in a relationship. feeling amazing. Like, I’ve been feeling really good about us. I’ve been feeling strong about us.
