Vanessa Romito has been open about her two decade long battle with “disfiguring acne” and the severe impact it’s had on her self esteem.
WATCH: Michael hits back at Vanessa ‘lying’ about cheating video
So it comes as no surprise the 31-year-old is seething at her Married At First Sight co-star, Michael Goonan, who made fun of her skin condition on social media. Just hours after she tied the knot with her on-screen husband, Chris Nicholls, Vanessa shared a promotional shot of herself to Instagram, letting her followers know she’d made her television debut!
And while hundreds of positive messages flooded in, according to Get Real Entertainment, Michael reportedly commented: “I love you babe but let’s fix your face then work out getting you a husband.”

Understandably, his incisive and blatantly nasty comment deeply upset the pharmacy manager— who says she used to have “pimples that were so big they would cover her eye or come out the side of her chin.“
“What type of human would post a comment like that knowing what I have been through? How could someone be so arrogant. It really shows the character of the person,” she told Get Real Entertainment. “He obviously didn’t think about the repercussions. I have had to deal with these sorts of insensitive remarks since I was 11 years old. You have no idea how difficult that has been.”
She continued: “I just want to tell Goonan that not everything is a joke and words actually matter and they hurt. If you can’t show respect to someone who’s been through what I have in my life you are no better than just a bully.”

Although Vanessa left the show some time ago, she’s become an integral part of the most confusing cheating scandal in MAFS history involving none other than Michael and Hayley Vernon.
The only person who witnessed their hookup, Vanessa had viewers on the edge of their seats when she confessed to having video evidence of their pair making out. However, in an unexpected turn of events, she was fibbing the entire time!
Naturally, this angered Michael’s wife Stacey Hampton with the lawyer arguing during the girls’ night that she’s no longer a reliable source thanks to her deceitful ways.
As expected, the mother of two wasn’t the only person upset, with dozens of angry viewers flocking to Twitter to express their not so nice opinions!

“She has lost all credibility with her video lie,” one person tweeted.
“Vanessa, you don’t even have the video of Michael and Hayley kissing. Take that boring personality, take that white lie of yours and GET THE F**K OUT,” another furious user added.
“Vanessa trying to be relevant because her relationship also failed and now admitted she lied she has video evidence.”
“So Vanessa didn’t even see the kiss and she made up having a video of it? WTF is her game?” someone else asked.
Other users questioned whether Vanessa made up this elaborate story in an attempt to score more air time. Because as we know, we were hardly given a glimpse into her time on the show, with her TV husband Chris telling WHO last month that they were pushed off set after she said she had plans to expose the network’s sneaky tactics.
“We were forced to leave MAFS. Producers told me they weren’t able to shoot anything more with us because Vanessa threatened the network and made up this stuff about her mental health,” Chris told us over the phone.
