Married At First Sight reality star Elizabeth Sobinoff showed off her new look on the Logies red carpet last weekend, debuting her tiny figure after losing 10 kilos.
MAFS‘ Elizabeth Sobinoff talks about her weight-loss after the show
Lizzie’s new look has been plastered all over her social media – but the revealing bikini photos have led a lot of fans to accuse the star of using photoshop.
However, the Married At First Sight stars weight loss is real, as she has told 9Honey. The celeb knows that her fans wont accept her “flaws”, but her new body isn’t something she will hide.
“No matter how your body changes through life, it doesn’t mean you have to hide it or be made to feel ashamed for it,” the Australian reality star said.
“I believe it’s encouraging to see images of different body types on social media, and not being afraid to show your own physical fluctuations,” she continued.
The 28-year-old MAFS star wants people to understand that her body weight is likely to fluctuate again, due to her medical conditions, one being an auto-immune condition and porphyria (a blood disorder) that requires her to eat a high-carb diet.
Elizabeth’s weight was first mentioned publically when her Married At First Sight ‘husband’ Sam Ball body-shamed her on the show.
During their ‘wedding ceremony’ he revealed that he doesn’t date “big girls”.
“I’ve never really dated girls as big as Elizabeth in the past,” he said to the producers, adding that he would have to get her “running in the mornings” to lose weight.
Elizabeth has since shown off her figure with body-positive messages.
But since her weight loss fans have accused the star of losing her “moral compass”, sending the wrong message to girls.
She reminded them that she will not stop posting the scantily clad photos on her social media, despite the backlash.
“People saying, ‘You lost weight, how is that body confidence?’ Honey, I was posing in bikinis way back when,” she said.
“I’m putting myself out there so others can feel better about themselves. I’m risking a lot to raise awareness. I’m going to keep posting my body. Teach body love.”
