Over the past week, the spotlight has been shining brightly on Heidi Latcham and Mike Gunner’s relationship. After a series of arguments about Mike’s nastiness, he told the experts on Sunday night that he’d be willing to work on his behaviour. However, it appears the controversial Married At First Sight contestant hasn’t changed his ways.
On tonight’s episode, Mike took Heidi on their last date before the final ceremony. Expecting it’d be something they’d both enjoy, Heidi was bitterly disappointed when she found out she’d be spending the afternoon on a yacht in the middle of Sydney Harbour.
“Mike planned our final date and it’s all about him,” said the distressed bride, who had told Mike previously that she was scared of heights, the ocean and boats. “This is my worst nightmare and it’s typical of Mike. I just wanted him to be more considerate of me. The final vowels are so close, why would he think that this would be a good idea?”

While Mike was loving every moment of their date, having what she described as “the time of his life” Heidi was curled up with a blanket, trying not to barf!
“I do not feel well at all. I feel like I am going to throw up,” she said through tears. “I don’t know if he even thought about me today.
Desperate to climb up the mast of the boat, Mike tried to convince Heidi that this was an activity they could do together, despite knowing full well that she’d decline the offer.
“On this particular boat, we will be able to climb to the little crow’s nest. I know Heidi is going to be a bit anxious to do this but that’s ok, I will help her and that will help us build trust,” he said.

Moments later, we catch a glimpse of Mike climbing the ladder while Heidi sits on the deck and shakes her head. Clearly out of touch with his wife’s emotions, Mike tells the camera that she’s definitely loving life and enjoying herself on the boat…
“Heids, you should do this,” he yelled. “Are you sure you don’t want to come up here? It’s pretty cool.”
“It’s not my kind of fun,” she replied quickly. “No thanks.”
Think again, Mike!
