The highly anticipated film follows the lives of Queen Mary of Scotland (Ronan) and Queen Elizabeth 1 (Robbie) in the mid-1500s.
As Mary returns to Scotland to claim her throne, her presence threatens her cousin Elizabeth’s sovereignty, as Scotland and England fall under her rule.
Mary, Queen of Scots hits cinemas in January 2019.
