MasterChef judge and beloved chef George Calombaris didn’t always look like this…
Young George was always passionate about cooking and has shared a throwback photo of his 24-year-old self representing Australia in an international cooking championship.
The photo, from 2003, shows Calombaris donned in his chef whites, with a head of THICK, black hair!
The competition was the Bocuse d’Or chef competition.
“One of my professional proudest moments. To earn the opportunity to represent my beautiful country of Australia in 2003. Thank you,” George captioned the photo on Instagram.
The prestigious Bocuse d’Or competition is a biennial world chef championship that is held in France. Chefs from 24 countries around the world compete for the title.
In that year of 2003, Norway won.
This throwback post comes after he gave fans the ultimate treat of another flashback photo last week.
George posted on Instagram a photo of his very young self with a bowl cut.
He joked: “Oh geez. I really need to find out who my hairdresser was back then,” adding the crying-laughter emoji.
Too cute!
