Considering the royal wedding is mere months away, Meghan Markle has a lot of decisions to make – aside from the all-important dress, she also has to pick who will be by her side on the big day.
Yesterday, reports emerged that Markle wants her mother to walk her down the aisle – but according to her sister, Samantha Markle, this isn’t the case.
“Muck about Doria walking Meg down the aisle is NOT true,” Samantha tweeted. “Our father will walk her down the aisle.”
Whatever the case may be, it seems one thing is for sure: Markle has already chosen her maid of honour.
According to US Weekly, Markle is shunning convention again by selecting a maid of honour, as opposed to a chief bridesmaid (as is usually British custom).
“While it is very much a British wedding, expect a few American touches too. She’s not picked a chief bridesmaid, she’s chosen a maid of honour,” reported the publication.
While it hasn’t yet been confirmed who has taken the coveted role, we have some ideas: actress and BFF Priyanka Chopra, who has been vocal about her approval of Markle’s relationship with Harry or Jessica Mulroney, Markle’s rumoured best friend and stylist.
Markle clearly has some contemplating to do, bu it seems Harry’s best man decision has already been made.
“Harry has several close guy friends, but there’s no way he would ask anyone but William to take on the top job,” a source told US Weekly last month.
In the meantime, the countdown is on – the royal wedding, which takes place on May 19, is only 4.5 months away!
