Recent UK tabloid headlines have it that Mel B and her former Spice Girls offsider Victoria Beckham aren’t seeing eye-to-eye these days, but the pair haven’t had much to say about it on the record. Until now.
Taking to the red carpet at Heidi Klum’s 19th Annual Halloween Party at Lavo in New York, Mel did little to douse speculation that the former bandmates are rowing over a reportedly aborted plan for a full reunion tour, by turning up cheekily dressed as Victoria. Her unnamed date was dressed as Posh’s husband, soccer icon David Beckham.
Covering her face in a Posh mask, Mel also held a sign that said: “NO I AM NOT GOING ON TOUR”.
British newspapers just days ago carried lurid claims that the duo had fallen out over Posh’s decision to allegedly back out of the planned Spice Girls reunion project.
Mel earlier this week announced, ‘We are definitely getting together at some point to do something but maybe not all of us together.’
Whether Mel’s costume was just a cheeky jab at those reports of tension, or an endorsement, remains to be seen.
