Meryl Streep has made a career of playing iconic characters, Lindy Chamberlain, Margaret Thatcher and Julia Child, now the Oscar winner can add Donald Trump to her list of impressions.
Streep, 66, donned some heavy fake tan, a protruding gut and extended red tie to play the businessman cum presidential hopeful at the Public Theatre’s annual United States of Shakespeare Gala in Central Park, NYC.

Performing a rendition from musical ‘Kiss Me Kate’, Streep reunited with Christine Baranski, star of The Good Wife and Mamma Mia!
Baranksi, 64, imitated Democratic Party frontrunner Hilary Clinton in the comic number as the pair sparred on stage.

Streep is often politically outspoken and a vocal supporter of Mrs. Clinton’s bid for the Whitehouse.
The United States of Shakespeare Gala is part of the Public Theatre’s free summer series, Shakespeare in the Park, held at Delacorte Theatre – an open-air amphitheater located on the west side of Central Park.
This year an all-female adaption of The Taming Of the Shrew directed by Phyllida Lloyd will be the headline show at the famed New York festival.
