Michael Bublé takes a break from performing to undergo vocal cord surgery

The singer will have to be silent whilst his vocal cords recovers.

Michael Bublé has announced that he is cancelling some upcoming events due to pending vocal cord surgery.

Whilst Bublé has said his doctors expect a full recovery, he will have to refrain from talking and singing “for a while”.

The 40-year-old singer made the announcement via social media.

In the post, Michael apologised to his fans but also thanked them for their “prayers and good wishes.”

One of the events that Michael apologised for cancelling was the Marvin Gaye Tribute at the Kennedy Centre on June 5.

The Grammy Award winning singer who is known for his big band, live performances also told fans in his post “I’ll keep you up to date on my progress.”

Whilst Bublé may not be able to sing for a while, he does have a young family to keep him occupied. Michael, who was born in Canada, has two children Noah and Elias with wife Luisana Lopilato who he married in 2011.

Noah Bublé is 2-years-old and his young brother Elias was born January 2016. Michael shared the special moment they welcomed Elias with a picture on Instagram.
