TV star and author, Michelle Bridges, 45, has revealed she turned to sport and fitness after struggling with bullying when she was at school.
Speaking to WHO magazine editor Keshnee Kemp on the Raw Talks podcast, Michelle opened up about her early years.
“My parents split when I was quite young and It was quite hard. As it is for every child who has [to go through] that. With that I found it was sport where I kind of found myself.
“And because we moved around a lot, I was the new kid, so I got bullied a lot. I copped it, I always copped it.
“So the way I could shine was to play in all the sports and be good at it,” she told Keshnee.
“The other thing was that sport was something I could just get lost in it. In playing sport.
“The things I learnt from sport were what set me up for where I am today,” Michelle explained.
“I learnt really quickly, how to compete. How to be a star player, but also strive to be a team player. How to win, how to lose.
“Massive lessons – these are the lessons we all want our children to have,” Michelle told Keshnee.
