Things are about to get messy for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth as they get ready to face off in court for the first time since they split in August.

The couple, who were married in December 2018, are now moving through the divorce process, which could see them reunite at a status conference at the Stanley Mosk courthouse, California, in the new year, according to Radar Online.
While the couple are both said to be keen to move on, if they fail to file all the necessary paperwork, this would be the first time the pair will come face-to-face since they announced their separation back in August, a source revealed to the publication.
“Miley has accepted that this is over and has now agreed to move forward with the divorce process,” an insider close to the stars told Radar.
“It’s sure to be interesting.”
Liam filed divorce papers on August 21, just days after they announced their split, and the pair have since both moved on with other people.
Miley briefly dated Kaitlynn Carter, before hooking up with current boyfriend Cody Simpson.
Meanwhile, Liam is said to be involved with Australian actress Maddison Brown after they were first linked back in October when spotted on a date together in New York City.
Rumours of a split wit Maddison surfaced this week, however, after Liam posted a thirsty selfie to his Instagram account.
After a brief social media hiatus, on Sunday the hunky Hunger Games star shared a very cute black-and-white photo of himself looking adoringly at his beloved furry friend, Dora.
“@hemsworthluke captured this moment of me and my best friend Dora. Good god I love this dog,” Liam captioned the Instagram post with his gorgeous pooch.
His close friend and fellow actor, Adan DeVine, was one of the first to recognise what the photo was doing to all of us.
“Thirst TRAP,” his Isn’t It Romantic co-star commented to which Liam adorably replied: “I just googled thirst trap. 100% true.”
