Miranda Kerr’s relationship with Orlando Bloom may no longer be romantic, but she will always be a part of his life. And her relationship with his current fiancée Katy Perry is anything but frosty.
The Australian-born supermodel, 39, and Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 46, married in 2010 and welcomed their son Flynn a year later. They announced their break up in 2013.
“It was the right thing to do, Miranda said of their break up in an interview with The Edit, explaining “We weren’t bringing out the best in each other.”
However, when Orlando started dating pop superstar Katy Perry, 38, there were no hard feelings and the two women were even photographed together by celebrity manager, Aleen Keshishian at the Moschino Fashion Show in 2016.
Miranda went on to marry Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel in 2017 and has since welcomed sons Hart, two, and Myles, 11 months.
During her pregnancy with Myles, the KORA Organics founder revealed that she and her ex’s new partner had no bad blood when she uploaded a picture of them at the 2019 launch of her Noni Bright Vitamin C serum.
“Thanks for shining bright with me @katyperry & Angela,” Miranda captioned a photo that featured herself and Katy.
Katy shared the same snap along with a message of congratulations that read: “KORA-grats on an illuminating vitamin c packed to perfection product – The #Nonibrightserum @mirandakerr @koraorganics (also, love u sissy).”
Most recently, in January 2023, Kerr and Perry walked the red carpet together at the G’Day USA Arts Gala in LA. Posing for photographs together on the carpet, the pair also united inside the event where Perry awarded Kerr with the Excellence in Arts award.
In a clip posted to TikTok, Miranda shared a montage of videos from the evening with the caption: “when you love your son’s step mom.”
In a chat with The Morning Show in 2019 following Orlando and Katy’s engagement, the mum-of-three said that she is “really grateful” for the relationship she has with her ex and his wife-to-be.
“We really do get along so well,” Miranda revealed, adding that they all work hard to coordinate their schedules around Flynn.
“We all have Flynn’s best interests at heart, in the interests of our family as a whole. And we just worked together to work it out … I’m very happy. It may not have worked out that way, but I’m really happy and feel very blessed that it has.”
Miranda also confessed to Us Weekly in January 2020 that not only does she really respect Katy and that they’d “gotten along since day one,” but that she considers the Teenage Dream singer “her family”.
“We appreciate each other,” she told the publication.
Katy also spoke about the blended family dynamic on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2019.
“[It’s] definitely matured me,” she said. “I guess this is adulting.”
In a chat with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Katy also lovingly referred to Flynn when she spoke of her pregnancy and the joys she gained after struggling with depression.
“I have a fiancé. I love my nieces. I love my soon-to-be stepson. I love life.”
Orlando and Katy are now proud parents to Daisy Dove Bloom who was born in August 2020, and it’s safe to say Miranda is over the moon for the happy couple.
“I’m so happy for you guys. Can’t wait to meet her,” she wrote following Daisy Dove’s birth.
Now can this family just adopt us already?
