The last time teams dined at Henry and Anna’s Black Diamond instant restaurant, they were treated to a truffle-riffic meal that Group 2 awarded with a triple-digit score. At the Super Dinner Party they hosted on tonight’s episode, though, the Tasmanian siblings fared OK but not enough to outshine the drama between Jess and Emma and Sonya and Hadil, who traded boasts and bad words. “Guys, a little bit of respect,” pleaded judge Pete Evans. “Let’s talk about food,” added Manu Feildel.

As contestants simmered outside the kitchen, Henry and Anna remained “completely unware,” Anna tells WHO with a laugh. “We did hear a bit of noise and I think I said to Henry, ‘Oh, they must be having fun in there!’ But it turns out it wasn’t fun. There was all sorts of other stuff going on.’”

It began with Sonya and Hadil remarking that Jess and Emma’s ultimate instant restaurant failed to live up to expectations. About their score of 52, Hadil said that most teams “are capable of beating 52 with our eyes closed and hands tied behind our back.”

Anna would caution teams on getting ahead of themselves, saying and Jess and Emma “gave us a heads-up” about the difference between this hosting experience and the instant restaurant round. “They said it’s so hectic and you can’t possibly prepare for what’s going to happen,” adds Anna. “So many different things can go wrong with so many dishes.”

In the end. Henry and Anna placed on top of the ultimate instant restaurant round leaderboard with a score of 86 out of 130, including a perfect 10 from Manu for their lemon tart with blueberry compote. “We just wanted to cook Henry and Anna style food like we’ve done throughout the competition that has got us to this point,” Anna says. “We just wanted to bring it up a notch to the standard of cooking this competition’s become.”

At Kim and Suong’s super dinner party, which will air tomorrow night, Henry and Anna will be back at the table to witness an epic war of words. “Our very little world at that time has been tipped upside down,” says Henry. “The group of people that we spent so much time with during the show, and all of a sudden there’s this confllct.”

‘My Kitchen Rules’ airs on Wednesday at 7.30 PM at Seven. For more on the series, pick up the latest issue of WHO on newsstands today.
