Natalie Imbruglia has given birth to a beautiful baby boy

Congratulations!

With the help of IVF and a sperm donor, Natalia Imbruglia has welcomed her first child— a baby boy! The Australian singer and former Neighbours star announced the wonderful news on Instagram, sharing a photo holding her little one’s tiny hand.

“Welcome to the world.. Max Valentine Imbruglia 💙 My heart is bursting 🥰🥰🥰 #myboy,” she captioned the gorgeous picture. 

It didn’t take long for her celebrity pals to leave congratulatory comments on the Aussie star’s social media post. 

“Yay! Hello, Max! Welcome indeed. So glad you’re here safe and sound. Congratulations, mama!” Sophie Ellis-Bextor wrote.

“Congratulations! What a lucky boy to have you as a mumma. Sending love to you both xxxx,” Australian Survivor winner Pia Miranda added.  

 

Natalie made it known in 2015 that she would love to be a mum! 

“It is something that is going to happen,” she told The Evening Standard. “I am still hopeful that I will meet someone. And yes, I may well look into other options if I don’t.”

Four years later, the 44-year-old singer— known for her 1997 hit track, Torn— announced she was expecting her first child!  

“I’m very happy to announce that I have just signed a record deal with BMG!! What an AMAZING team,” she began. “And as you can see from the pic.. there is another announcement… (no I haven’t swallowed a watermelon). I’m expecting my first child this Autumn. For those of you who know me, this has been something I have wanted for a very long time.

“I’m blessed that this is possible with the help of IVF (in vitro fertilisation) and a sperm donor. I’m so excited about this next adventure… a new album and I’m going to be a mum!”

Natalie— who starred on Neighbours in the ’90s and later returned to acting for Rowan Atkinson’s 2003’s Bond spoof Johnny English— has had a colourful dating history.

The former X factor judge was married to Silverchair frontman Daniel John for four years before calling it quits in 2008. She also dated David Schwimmer, Lenny Kravitz, Chris Martin, and most recently, photographer Matt Field.
