According to an official statement, you’ll be unable to stream any of the 236 episodes by 2020 as the popular sitcom will be moving to WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service, HBO Max.
“The One Where We Have to Say Goodbye,” Netflix tweeted.” We’re sorry to see Friends go to Warner’s streaming service at the beginning of 2020 (in the US). Thanks for the memories, gang.

Unfortunately, the new HBO platform is stealing a bunch of other fan favourites which have long been streamed on Netflix.
Shows like The Office, Pretty Little Liars and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air are moving to the new platform which will feature “an extensive collection of exclusive original programming (Max Originals) and the best-of-the-best from WarnerMedia’s enormous portfolio of beloved brands and libraries,” according to a company press release. Big Little Lies actress Reece Witherspoon is also in talks with the streaming service to produce exclusive movies for the new site.
HBO Max is set to launch in spring 2020 and will debut with 10,000 hours of premium content.
