Even celebrities can get starstruck. Emilia Clarke was promoting her new film, Me Before You, on The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, when one of her fans, singer Nick Jonas, surprised her and revealed the embarrassing story of the first time they met.
Jonas, 23, recalled telling Clarke, 29, that he was a fan of her Instagram and how it might have been a weird thing to say. “It was an amazing thing to say,” Clarke responded, “I found it very flattering. I’m proud of my Instagram.”
But, Jonas found the experience was “highly embarrassing,” and said he immediately walked away thinking he “sounded stupid.” He blamed it on alcohol: “That was maybe after one or two cocktails.”
Jonas looked less nervous in a photo he uploaded to Instagram last week with girl band Fifth Harmony:
Clarke told WHO her ideal man would have a “dad bod” and she “don’t need no six-pack.” Unfortunately for Jonas, his athletic physique doesn’t quite fit the description.
It seems Jonas enjoyed his second run-in with Clarke, though, as he uploaded a series of photos of the two of them on Instagram afterwards.
