There’s no doubt Offspring isn’t one of Australia’s greatest TV dramas, and now the show’s lead Asher Keddie has admitted she has her sights set on Hollywood once the Channel 10 hit wraps up.
When asked whether she has anything particular in mind, Keddie tells The Daily Telegraph she’s down to play a role in an action blockbuster.
“I’m quite a physical, active person and I’d be really keen to see what that would be like, a big action flick … or something like Robert Downey Jnr does, an action comedy,” she said.
Before any Offspring die-hard fans get worried, the 42-year-old said she isn’t heading over to the US anytime soon, especially if her character Nina Proudman is still being written into scripts for the Australian drama.
And no-one could blame her, particularly after news broke last month that season seven of Offspring proved to be helping the Channel 10 with ratings.
On the premiere of the new season, it reeled in 1.58 million viewers on June 28, recording an average of 996,000 viewers for the Channel 10.
