The saddened Baywatch actress confirmed the news in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, revealing she and the movie mogul plan to take the next few weeks to “re-evaluate” where they stand and decide what they want from each other in the future.

“I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union,” Pamela wrote, adding the decision to part ways was mutual. “We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another.

“Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”

Despite the fact both Pamela and Jon have been married four times prior, some were convinced they were the perfect match considering they briefly dated in the ’80s and eventually found their way back to each other.

The pair met at the Playboy Mansion. Jon was an on-the-rise producer trying to make his big break while Pamela was just settling into Los Angeles life after moving from her home in British Columbia. She later went on to grace the cover of Playboy 13 times and became an international superstar after scoring a top spot on the wildly popular series, Baywatch.

After saying their I Do’s in front of Pamela’s two sons, Jon’s three daughters and his ex-wife Christine Forsyth-Peters, the American film producer gloated about his beautiful bride.

“Pamela has never seen her full potential as an artist. She has yet to shine in a real way. There is much more to her than meets the eye, or I wouldn’t love her so much,” the 74-year-old told The Hollywood Reporter at the time.

“There are beautiful girls everywhere. I could have my pick, but — for 35 years — I’ve only wanted Pamela. She makes me wild — in a good way. She inspires me. I protect her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated.”
