Patrick Dempsey says things are looking up for his relationship with wife Jillian.
Jillian filed for divorce from Patrick in January 2015, but the pair have been hand-in-hand this year, and now Patrick is addressing rumors of reconciliation.
Asked if he and Jillian have reconciled, he told ES Magazine, “Yeah, I think so.”
“You have to work at everything,” the former Grey’s Anatomy star, 50, continued. “And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed.”
Dempsey said to that end, he’s cut back on his commitments on the race track.
“I’ve sort of stepped back – I’m the team owner, but time goes by so quickly with my kids that I don’t want to miss that,” said Dempsey, who placed second last year in France’s famous Le Mans 24 Hours.
“Last year we had a good team, and a good car, it was the right moment … where I could focus 100 percent on doing a full season. Now it’s time to put that personal philosophy into my kids, allowing them to find their goals, their passions.”
According to court documents obtained by WHO, the couple’s divorce has stalled. On May 19, a judge sent Jill documents saying the divorce would be thrown out of court unless she moved forward with it.
The couple, who were wed in 1999, share three children: Tallula, 14, and twins Sullivan and Darby, 9.
In January, a source told WHO the two had called off their divorce plans: “There are no more divorce plans. Patrick and Jillian plan on being a family again.”
