Perez Hilton’s short stint in the South African jungle came with a slew of unwanted controversies.

From screaming at his co-stars to throwing bizarre hissy fits, we often saw the reality TV star cop the wrath of angry I’m A Celeb viewers who had no time for his prima donna behaviour.
And despite trying to keep his nose out of all the drama, Perez proved himself to be an absolute diva when he was sent packing during last night’s episode.
After it was announced he had been eliminated from the competition, the gossip guru sparked outrage with his lacklustre goodbye which had both viewers and his jungle friends extremely confused. Grabbing his bag and literally sprinting away, he simply said: “Adios. It was a pleasure meeting most of you. Bye-bye.”
While we’re not entirely sure who he was talking about, it wouldn’t be outlandish to assume he was subtly referring Ryan Gallagher and Charlotte Crosby. As we know, Perez entered the jungle with the hope of breaking the couple up, admitting he was “fed up” with their jungle romance.
Following his exit, many viewers took to Twitter to express their disgust, with one branding the American blogger “rude”, “disrespectful” and a “sore loser”.
“Jeez. What a poor sport, good riddance Perez,” one angry user wrote. “So bloody ungrateful and disrespectful. That was just plain rude.”
Another wrote: “That was just so very rude by Perez to just run out and say ‘it was nice to meet some of you’… like dude?”
“It’s time to spot putting Perez Hilton on reality TV shows,” a different viewer wrote. “He is a sore loser and has anger management issues. Overall he is an incredibly poor representation of the LGBTQI community.”
Earlier in the episode, Perez decided to rage at his co-stars, spiralling out of control over a sliced banana. It started when Ryan suggested Charlotte should eat the fruit seeing as she doesn’t like oats. Moments later, Perez butted in claiming the loved up couple were “disrespecting” and “attacking” Miguel Maestre who cut up the food for everyone to share.
“I’m not having them disrespect Miguel,” he said, before entering into a fit of rage. “It’s as simple as that. You’re being so disrespectful to him. The way you were talking to him was not caring.”
Ryan then claimed it was Perez who was disrespecting their co-stars by screaming at them, adding he was only stirring the pot to grab headlines.
“I’m not going to do a blog. I reacted the way I did because this man has done so much for you. All he was trying to do was be fair, it was two people attacking him,” he said.
Naturally, his bizarre attack rubbed perplexed viewers the wrong way.
“They’re full on bawling about bananas,” one fan of the adventure series Tweeted.
“I feel like Perez is really insecure and has no filter which has made him successful, but everyone in the camp is just tolerating him and doing what they can in that situation, but they have no interest in being part of the drama he stirs up,” another wrote.
