The Rubens are on tour with Pink for her whopping 46-show Australian tour in support of her Beautiful Trauma album, and while the “Raise Your Glass” singer may not have made the phone call herself to book the band, she did have a choice in who supported her.
“Often that isn’t the care you know,” lead vocalist Sam Margin tells WHO. “They don’t even care who supports them, but apparently she saw the ‘Million Man’ music video… and she does care who supports her and she chose us, which is nice.”
On the road from July 3 to August 29 and in massive venues such as the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Australian ban The Rubens admit it will be a challenge to win over fans who may not be familiar with their music.
“That will take a few shows to get right,” says Sam. “It’s definitely going to be, like, learning to work that crowd.”
