Competing for top dog, 10 professional pet stylists from around Australia go head to head in Channel Seven’s new doggy reality TV show, Pooch Perfect.
WATCH: First Look at the all new Pooch Perfect with Rebel Wilson
Hosted by actress Rebel Wilson, the teams of two compete in themed challenges to trim, cut and blow dry with precision, revealing incredible transformations from scruffy furballs to chic canines. Wilson leapt at the chance to host as it brought back special memories from when she was a junior dog handler.
“My childhood was full of weekend adventures at dog shows all around Australia, and my family had a business selling pet products out of a caravan – such as leads, treats and the best styling equipment available.”

It’s not just scissors that get a workout – each episode the teams make over their dogs with glitter and pooch–perfect outfits. Strutting their stuff on the dog walk, the top three compete in a sudden death round where one team is eliminated.
Alongside Wilson is her four-legged co-host, Russell the Brussel, a gorgeous Brussels Griffon who is full of personality and attitude! Also joining the crew at Pooch Palace headquarters are international styling experts and judges Amber Lewin and Colin Taylor.
“Dog grooming is so important for the overall health of the dog as not only does it make the dog feel happy, but it keeps the dog healthy and allows the owners to cuddle a clean smelling dog,” Lewin says.
And according to Taylor, he is looking for “kind handling, attention to detail and a style that suits the dog”. And they’ll decide who wins the $100k.
