Pretty much every parent will say how having kids changed their life for the better. But for these Aussie dads, their lives before involved lights, cameras and a whole lot of reality TV action.
Tim Robards
As Australia’s first Bachelor, chiropractor Tim Robards warmed our hearts when he declared his love for Anna Heinrich in the finale.
The couple not only tied the knot but in November 2020, their daughter Elle Robards was welcomed to the world.
“I feel like I’m so used to being go, go, go with work, projects and all these different things. Now I’ve got to remember I’m not getting as much stuff done, but I’m spending a lot of time with my daughter and seeing her grow up and giving her a lot of love,” Tim told WHO back in February 2021. “And that’s the most important thing.”
Sam Wood
Back in 2015, Sam met Eve Markoski during hometown week on The Bachelor when he was dating her mum Snezana.
And when he and Snezana could finally go public with their romance, Sam had his own family of three.
“It was this crazy world which they [Snezana and Eve] uprooted everything and came to Melbourne to live with me, but now we’re this family,” he told Now To Love in 2019.
“I never call myself Eve’s ‘step-dad’. I am Eve’s dad. That’s how I feel. That’s how I act.”

Sam and Snez are also parents to Willow and Charlie, born in 2017 and 2019, respectively, and they are the epitome of reality TV family goals.
“When I have you, I have it all,” he simply captioned a family photo shared for his 41st birthday.
Eden Dally
During his time on Love Island, Eden made it to second place with partner Erin Barnett on season one. However when they called it quits, he later began dating Married At First Sight‘s Cyrell Paule and before we knew it they were expecting a baby together.
Boston Dally was born in February 2020 but despite having two parents who’ve dabbled on dating shows, Eden doesn’t want his son to follow in their footsteps.
“He’s a little handful but he’s a joy and a very happy baby. I see big things – not reality TV though – for my son. And as I’ve said, if Covid doesn’t kill me Cyrell will!” he laughed to WHO in 2020.
Matty J
Even when he starred on Georgia Love’s season of The Bachelorette, we knew Matty was a family man.
So when he met Laura Byrne on his season of The Bachelor and they fell in love, we knew we wouldn’t have to wait long for a baby announcement.
The couple are proud parents to Marlie-Mae and Lola and though he keeps it real when it comes to the unglamorous side of parenting, Matty admitted he loves being “outnumbered by 3 beautiful and rambunctious girls at home.”
Cam Merchant
MAFS fans rejoiced when Cam popped the question for real to Jules Robinson during their final vows. In the blink of an eye they were not only married but also welcoming son, Oliver.
“This is a whole new world that I’m living that I had zero idea about before but it is, without a doubt, the best thing in the world and something I wouldn’t change, that’s for sure,” the former TV groom told WHO of his parenting journey, before adding that he’s “so grateful” for how he and Jules met.
“It has been a magical journey and we certainly look forward to showing Ollie how his parents met one day, that’s something that no one’s ever going to take away from us.”
Conor Canning
He may have been a “Cleanskin” when he walked into the third season of Bachelor in Paradise but in an unexpected twist, Conor found love with Bachie star Mary Viturino.
After Paradise, Mary and daughter Chanel moved in to Conor’s hometown of Tasmania and just a few months later, baby Summer joined the family.
“The world is already a better place now that you are in it. We love you,” Conor sweetly penned after the birth of his little girl.
