Brittany Hockley has been rumoured to be the winner of this season’s The Bachelor, stealing the heart of Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins. However, it now appears that if this were the case, their romance could already be over.
Brittany’s sister Sheri shared a video to her Instagram Story on Wednesday night that showed her watching the dating show.
Sheri was accompanied by a mystery man – potentially her brother – and when the kissing scene between Brittany and Nick appeared, he was heard making a telling remark.
“Maybe he’s not ready to settle down…” said the man in the background.
Another woman can be heard responding with “Maybe not…”
It’s hard to tell who belonged to the woman’s voice but fans have speculated that it might have been Brittany herself. The commentary on the scene suggested that perhaps Nick had already broke up with the 30-year-old radiographer and is single.
Although the Bachelor is filmed months in advance, the result is a closely-guarded secret. However, it is understood the immediate family of the finalist is aware of the outcome.
The video has since been deleted from Sheri’s account due to Instagram Story videos having a 24-hour expiration date.
Rumours that Brittany wins Nick’s heart came in heavy when eagle-eyed fans noticed the pair had used similar quotes in their Instagram captions in posts about their wildlife-themed date.
Brittany wrote in her caption, “‘I feel really good about you. This could be the beginning of something incredible…’ There’s just something about him…”
Meanwhile, Nick also used the phrase “there’s just something about…” in his own caption. He wrote, “There is just something about a woman holding a snake.”
The two posts add to a long list of clues that suggest Brittany is the winner.
