Hometowns last week were shaky for Bachelorette Angie Kent and contestant Carlin Sterritt, after the hunk’s brother revealed his acting and modelling aspirations – leading to a blow-up between the would-be lovebirds.

But the fitness trainer had the chance to redeem himself, and he did so beautifully on his final date with Angie ahead of the last rose ceremony, admitting to the blonde bombshell that he is… yep… falling in love!
“I want you to leave not having any doubts,” Carlin told Angie.
“One, about just me and my character. But, two, about how I feel about you.”
He continued:
“My feelings for you are so strong and, like, I’ve only seen myself falling for you more and more and to feel what I’m feeling for you, it is overwhelming. The right words really is that I am falling in love with you, Angie.”
His words came after Carlin got real about why he hid his dream of being an actor and model from the blonde bombshell.
“My feelings for Angie are so incredibly strong. And today, I need to clear up if there’s any doubt with Angie and just be completely up-front and honest,” he spoke to camera ahead of their date. “I want Angie to see that I can be the guy for her. She needs to know how much I care about her.”
“The biggest thing is to communicate,” she told him as they sat awkwardly together at the start of the night. “The one thing that I get so upset about is that I don’t want you to feel like you can’t tell me what you’re passionate about. Why wouldn’t I be able to love, like, an actor or a model?”
Why indeed?
“I feel like saying actor or model or something like that…” he began.
“That, like, instantly I’ll label you as that?” prompted Ange.
“Yeah. I haven’t done anything since like 2016 and I’ve just done a couple of commercials for money in the meantime. I’m sorry. I just went about it the wrong way.”
And it seems that was enough to convince Angie, who believed the hunk was telling the truth.
“In this very moment with Carlin, I can see a future with him,” she revealed to camera.
“I feel like he’s been someone I’ve liked from the beginning until now. And him telling me that he’s definitely falling in love with me. Well, this is why I’m here. This is why I did this. And if I get that pure love at the end out of this, then I’ll just be the happiest gal around.”
Carlin has been the firm favourite since he won the first-ever 24 hour rose in episode one but it almost fell apart last week, when his hometown visit didn’t go according to plan.
Angie’s hopes of waltzing into the sunset with Carlin were quickly dashed when his brother, Jarvie let slip that he had been actively pursuing his acting career before entering the Ten show.
A clearly stunned Angie – who thought Carlin was passionate about health and fitness – asked Jarvie if she thought Carlin was using the show as a stepping stone to furthering his quest for fame.
“I guess so… I think at the start, yeah,” Jarvie said, “As much as he’s into his acting, I think there is a connection. . . this is more than maybe Carlin went in for,” he added.
Angie immediately confronted Carlin.
“Your brother pretty much did make out that you came on to this with [acting] as your main goal, and it’s just been a blessing that you happen to like me,” she contended. “I don’t care if you’re an actor, that doesn’t mean you can’t love,” she said, “just say that you are one.”
