The second season of FBoy Island Australia has come to an end and we can all agree that it was certainly a wild ride.
From endless close-ups of body-oiled abdominals to Abbie Chatfield’s unmatched reactions to f-boy bulls***, this year’s series served several memorable moments but above all, the contestants’ time on the island was not purely for our entertainment, but also for the chance to find love (or a cheeky $50,000 cash prize).
While she may have been a new face on the island, contestant Ally was no stranger to the world of FBoy Island, having previously dated Season 1 f-boy Vernon, but this time, the 27-year-old finally found her nice guy in the form of Joe.
Although her choice came as no surprise to her fellow contestants, fans were shocked to discover that Joe was *actually* a nice guy.
ICYMI, Joe had previously made waves on the island for his serious f-boy behaviour, with his fellow dudes even calling him out for allegedly bragging about his girlfriend outside the show. Most notably, the red flags started to wave after Ally, Krystal, Nicole, and Abbie did a deep dive into Joe’s social media – uncovering that he followed Andrew Tate’s Hustlers University page on Instagram.
“In my opinion, Andrew Tate is basically the leader of misogyny. Nice guy or f-boy, I do not care what your status is on this island. If you’re an Andrew Tate supporter, you do not support women,” Krystal said following the discovery.
Justifying his following list, Joe told Ally, “I’ve followed him for a long time. I thought he was a great guy, As much as there’s the misogynist s*** and obviously the disrespect of women, I do understand some of his content,” before later telling Krystal to “settle down.” Yikes!
Despite many fans thinking that Joe’s social media following was a clear dealbreaker, Joe continued to remain a frontrunner throughout the competition (much to the chagrin of those also vying for Ally’s affections) and after making it to the finale, Ally and Joe officially cemented their status as one of FBoy Island’s newest couples.
Are Ally and Joe still together?
Six months on from filming, Joe and Ally’s romance is still going strong, with the couple confirming to POPSUGAR Australia that they’re more in love than ever!
“We are so serious about this relationship. We could not be more part of each other’s lives if we tried. Since we’ve both come off the show, I think we’ve at most spent a week without each other. We’re just always in each other’s arms and presence,” Joe shared, with Ally adding that the pair are already planning to move in together in the not-too-distant future.
Despite their time on the show being plagued by drama, the couple revealed that it was the moments not shown on the screen that helped cement their connection.
“I just wish that they included some of the nice moments, the moments to us that were really special. I think that obviously the perception of us as a couple is determined by what’s shown… You read some of the comments online and they’re saying all these certain things and I’m like, ‘It couldn’t be further from the truth.'”
Looking towards the future, Ally and Joe revealed that they’re already planning to put aside their prize money to buy a house together. Who said you couldn’t find ‘The One’ on reality TV?
