WATCH: What does Erin Barnett have to say about Charlotte Crosby’s ‘special treatment’ in the jungle?

After weeks of watching stars hurl themselves off cliffs, get up close and personal with snakes (and other creepy crawlies), suffer electric shocks, and eat disgusting dishes including testicles, innards, maggots and, oh gosh, so much other stuff that made us want to vomit, we have finally reached the end of this year’s jungle run.

“The results are clear,” teased Dr Chris Brown as the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! final two, Miguel Maestre and Dale ‘Daisy’ Thomas awaited the announcement of who would wear the crown (after second runner-up Rhonda Burchmore left earlier in the evening).

The celebrity chef shed a few tears as he took in the news that he had won, and raised funds and awareness for his charity, R U OK?, a suicide prevention organisation.

Thank you to R U OK? for raising awareness to stop suicide in Australia,” he said as he prepared to put on his crown.

“We need to get away from the stigma. We have to stop the Australians doing suicide every day.”

“We suffer an epidemic of eight Australians taking their lives a week with suicide and losing the battle with mental health,” he said, speaking about why he chose R U OK? to support during his time in the jungle.

Miguel Maestre

“I’m grateful that, through the show, we saw people opening their feelings… It’s OK to not be OK and asking for help and listening to people when they have a tough moment could save a life at the right time.”

Hail King Miguel!
