Season two of Love Island Australia is officially here!
And the premiere has given us all we could ever hope for (and then some).

The girls rocked in first, and they were all really, really, really, ridiculously good looking (as expected).
Smart and sassy Vanessa Sierra made it clear from the get-go that no-one would be standing between her and her perfect guy.
“I’ll go for the guy that I want even if someone else is interested,” she quipped to camera.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old sweetie Cartier Surjan insisted she’s the ‘good girl’ of the bunch.
“I’m in love with Jesus,” said the 19-year-old, who’s looking for a good family man on the reality TV show…

Cynthia Taylu, Jessie Wynter and Cassie Lansdell joined the other gals and on host Sophie Monk to show up… and, more importantly, the boys’ arrival because, let’s be real, that’s what they’re here for!
And then the coupling began…
(May the odds be ever in your favour, ladies!)

Meet the couples!
Jessie & Maurice

Cartier & Gerard

Vanessa & Matthew

Cassie & Adam

Cynthia & Sam

As you’d probably expect from the hit reality TV show, the drama started almost as soon as the cameras were turned on – beginning with Vanessa being picked by not one but three of the boys!
Despite saying she wasn’t interested in Adam Farrugia because she didn’t want a “bad boy”, the Gold Coast native picked Vanessa to be his one and only.
Until Sam Withers walked in, and Vanessa stepped forward to let him know she was a keen bean.
“I just felt something there. He’s by the books my type,” she told Sophie of why she was interested in the new hottie.
So Adam was went to the subs bench (aww!), while Sam got paired up with Vanessa and was feeling pretty good about himself… but then final guy Matthew Zukowski strolled in and, wow, just wow.
Where are the fire emojis when you need them?
Vanessa said she was cool to stay with Sam, but Matthew had other ideas.
“I like the look of Vanessa. Sorry, bro.”
[Cue the sound of grass being very rapidly cut.]
It was all a bit much for Vanessa to handle.
“I’m a bit overwhelmed to be honest. Very flattering. They are both very hot. It’s an emotional roller-coaster.”
And if Vanessa thinks the first half hour of the show was a crazy ride, wait till the next six weeks play out!
The lead-up to this year’s show got us good and excited for the second Aussie season, with the ads promising the hottest of hotties to bring all the drama to our screens
In one of the ads for season two, one topless Lothario says, “I try to wear clothes, it just doesn’t feel right.”
Another laments, “I know I am an 11 but to find another 11, we’re like unicorns.”
“I get 50,000 likes but all I really want is love,” another says.
Host Sophie Monk lands among them and tells them: “Beautiful people, I feel your pain and I am here to find you love. Imagine an island with beautiful people.”
And although we have now met the genetically blessed contestants taking part in this year’s show, (hello, Gerard!) it appears the reality series hasn’t actually found quite enough singles to participate in the show just yet.
“If you’ve seen the Season 2 Islanders and already have your eye on someone then it’s the perfect time to apply — there could be a spot in the Villa that only you can fill,” read a recent call out from Channel Nine.
“If you are sexy, young and single, aged 18-35, and are warm, honest, open and truly looking for love, then follow the link to apply for Love Island Australia.”
