Months after confirming their split, Love Island star Zac Nunns has shared more details of his breakup from Lucinda Strafford.
Are Lucinda and Zac still together?
The pair, who met during the most recent season of Love Island Australia, announced they had split in February and while Lucinda has remained quiet on their break-up, Zac has continued to share details of their relationship with fans.
“Hey guys, just thought I’d let you know that Lucinda and I have decided to go our separate ways,” Zac wrote in his initial statement. “I’m not feeling too good about the situation and appreciate all the support so far.”
When reports emerged in April suggesting Lucinda was dating UK DJ Nathan Dawe, Zac took to TikTok to share with fans that he and Lucinda had been recently talking.
“We stopped talking about two weeks ago but we were on and off for the whole two months,” he explained.
Despite being a media personality himself, the Kiwi Love Island Star also insinuated that Lucinda’s career as an influencer was also partly to blame for their breakup.
“It just wasn’t a good match – I just don’t get the influencer scene hahaha I’m a bit rogue,” he said.
“It’s easy to get caught up in clicks and likes and followers it’s like a drug – and if you have people in the industry telling you that’s what you NEED to do it puts you in a rough spot.”
“So I don’t blame her for it…”
Although the couple experienced their own share of drama in the early weeks of Love Island, the Kiwi and UK love birds quickly became one of the most solid couples in the Villa.
Only a few weeks into the new season, fans figured out Zac and Lucinda were still together thanks to some photos from Daily Mail of the pair in Lucinda’s home country.
When the show finished airing in November 2023, Zac confirmed to WHO that the couple were still together and moving from strength to strength.
“It’s been really, really good,” Zac told us about life after the show. “The moment I left [The Villa] I went to the UK and spent two and a half months with Lucinda.”
After Christmas Lucinda joined Zac in Australia, and Zac told WHO he was planning on relocating to the UK “early next year.”
“I’m going to move to the UK! And hopefully, the next step for our relationship after living together for a while might be you know getting engaged to get married and having a family…” (Read our full interview with Zac, here.)
However, after fans began noticing fewer photos of the couple together online, Zac took to Instagram in February 2024 to confirm the couple had split.
Zac, a 25-year-old student and former electrician only had eyes for Bombshell Lucinda once she entered the Villa, revealing he had watched her previous season of Love Island UK and had a “crush” on her.
Lucinda herself first earned fame on Love Island UK as a bombshell alongside eventual season winner Millie Court, coupling up with both Brad McClelland and Aaron Francis during her time in the Villa.
The 24-year-old influencer was also in an on-again-off-again relationship with Brighton footballer Aaron Connelly before they separated for good in early 2023.
