Why so many couples didn’t appear on the last MAFS episode

Some explosive scenes were completely cut out!

And just like that, Season 10 of Married At First Sight Australia is done and dusted. The season had it all; accidental butt dials, cheating scandals and plenty of drama, but the final episode of the series didn’t quite live up to fans’ expectations.

Why? Because the episode only saw four couples review their time on the experiment and hear some hard truths from the experts. Other popular (and polarising) couples were seen on the couches – but barely had any screen time.

One bride of the season, who chose to remain anonymous spoke to Daily Mail Australia following the episode, explaining just how much was cut out of the juicy finale

The rogue contestant revealed that whilst the final episode may have appeared pretty tame – behind the scenes, it was anything but, with castmates “screaming at each other” and “wanting time in front of the camera.”

The bride also revealed that Melissa stormed off set after feeling slut-shamed while watching her package.

“Melissa was a mess. She was crying and inconsolable. Jesse [Burford] was there with her trying to calm her down until a producer walked over to try and talk to her,” they told the publication.

“Melissa was having none of it and didn’t want a bar of production, she ripped off her microphone and announced she was leaving.”

Fans were surprised when the season’s most divisive and dramatic couple, Harrison and Bronte didn’t appear on the couch during the final episode.

However, the source told Daily Mail Australia the couple spent the “longest time on the couch” reflecting on their experience, however, it was edited out as it didn’t match the narrative presented on the show.

Contestant Jesse himself, also appeared to comment on the editing of the final episode, clarifying that Claire was visiting Perth for a myriad of reasons – not to rekindle their relationship.

Commenting on Facebook, a profile appearing to belong to marriage celebrant Jesse also explained that he had “no idea why they didn’t air” Bronte and Harrison, before sharing that audiences also didn’t get to watch “Shannon and Caitlin (which was absolutely brutal) or Josh and Mel either.”

He also clarified that the three remaining couples; Janelle and Adam, Rupert and Ev, Tayla and Hugo weren’t filmed during the finale.
