The blowback from that drama was too much for Ciarran – who, unbeknownst to Angie, had received the horrible news that his beloved nan had passed away.
“If I’m gonna be here, I want to be, like, the best version I can be for you,” a devastated Ciarran told a teary Angie.
“And with everything that’s going on,I honestly don’t feel like I can be.”

“This is the worst timing,” he continued. “I feel like we’ve got a connection. It’s really hard for me to do this… I’m not gonna lie.I’m definitely gonna regretdoing this.I’ve really enjoyedwhat was going onbetween yourself and myself and…been a perfect match.”
Our hearts were breaking in time with Ciarran’s – and so was Angie’s, it seems.
“After everythingthat you’ve been through, and I really don’t want you to go,but I know that family comes first,” she comforted the blonde Brit.
And of course, Ciarran being Ciarran, he had to crack a joke:
“If you, you know, don’t make it with any ofthese idiots that are in here,I’m still gonna be here. You can slide in my DMs.”

Aww!
After the episode aired, Ciarran took to his Instagram account to share some final words on his time in the Bachelorette mansion.
“So as you all now know I’m no longer a part of the show or in the race for Angie’s heart!” he wrote.
“Due to unforeseen family reasons I had to make the choice of leaving. This was by far the hardest decision I had to make on here. Knowing that I had an amazing connection with Angie and then having to tell her I had to leave was just gut wrenching.”
“[Angie] is an amazing woman and is full of love to give and can never wipe that big smile off her face! Thank you for letting me be apart of this experience on your quest (not journey) to find a man you can hopefully say “I love you” too.
“I wish Angie all the best for the rest of the show and now all the lads in there finally have a chance now I’m not longer in the race haha! Big love to you all!”
