The contestants of this year’s The Block have only just finished their renovations, but fans already think they know which out of the five houses could be winning big when auctions roll around.

This year five new teams competed on Charming Street, renovating original houses from the 1950s.
From Victoria, we have sisters Eliza and Liberty who have no previous building experience competing. Married couple Leah and Ash from Queensland who share three kids will also be competing in the 2023 season.
South Australia’s team for the year are married couple Kristy and Brett, as are Kyle and Leslie from Western Australia who have two kids. Architect Steph and her childhood sweetheart-turned-husband Gian from New South Wales will also be competing.

Although the new season is only just drawing to an end on television, the houses have long been renovated, with the show filmed earlier this year.
For months fans from the area have captured sneak peeks of the new houses and their external transformations and shared bits and pieces online.
As the teams finish their renovations and we inch closer to the all-important Auction Day, The Block’s very own judges have given their own predictions of who will win.
Syanna Blaze revealed to Channel Nine that she would be “shocked” if Steph and Gian didn’t win.
“As we know the best doesn’t always win, but I would be shocked if House 4 does not win,” she told the outlet. “The quality, the sense of calm and architectural attention to detail shows Steph and Gian have created the ultimate luxury and it truly makes it one of the best houses on The Block.”
Darren Palmer agreed, telling the publication House Four has an advantage as the highest per square meter ratio.
“So, with dollars per square metre ratio as your metric, you can assume that House 4 will sell for more,” he said. “That may also mean they have a higher reserve which then may not mean they sell for the highest profit… but we will only find out reserves on auction night.”
Fans have an even better idea of who will win big at Auction Day thanks to odds shared on Sportsbet and Tab.
Fans have long used betting sites to correctly predict the winners of their favourite shows. From Beauty & The Geek to The Bachelors and even Love Island, the websites have a pretty good track record of correctly giving fans the winners before the finale rolls out.
Although the sites are no guarantee, they do give a pretty strong indication of who will win before the episode airs.
At this stage, Sportsbet is placing New South Wales couple Steph & Gian in first place, with odds of $1.75.
Kyle and Leslie are sitting in second place with odds of $5.00, whilst Adelaide couple Kristy & Brett and Melbourne sisters Eliza and Liberty are sitting close behind with odds of $6.00.
The site has Leah & Ash in the bottom spot with odds of $7.00 respectively.
