Never fear, here’s a complete recap:
What happened on tonight’s episode of Dancing with the Stars?
Episode 5
Rebecca Gibney and Ian Waite kicked off Episode 5 with a paso doble to Queen of the Night by Whitney Houston.
Then Brittany Hockley and Craig Monley performed a tango that the judges loved; particularly Mark Wilson.
Up next was Harry Garside and Siobhan Power with a polarising rumba that Sharna Burgess praised but Craig Revel Horwood tore to shreds.
Michael Usher and Natalie Lowe impressed the judges (yes, even Craig) with a graceful Viennese waltz.

And to wrap up Episode 5, Trent Cotchin and Jess Raffa took to the dance floor with a jive… A jive that sent him straight to the top of the leaderboard!
In a shock twist, Rebecca Gibney was sent home even though she wasn’t initially at the bottom of the leaderboard – she ended up there once the studio audicne votes were combined with the judges’ scores.
Of course, she was extremely gracious and thanked everyone from Ian and the judges to the entire production crew.
Leaderboard as of Episode 5:
- Trent Cotchin and Jess Raffa: 35
- Brittany Hockley and Craig Monley: 33
- Michael Usher and Natalie Lowe: 29
- Rebecca Gibney and Ian Waite: 28 (eliminated)
- Harry Garside and Siobhan Power: 25
Episode 4
Kyle Shilling and Lily Cornish opened Episode 4 with an emotional Viennese waltz that impressed the judges.
Next up was Karina Carvalho and Andrey Gorbunov with a salsa. The judges admitted that while the performance wasn’t great, it was an improvement from Karina’s last attempt on the dance floor.
Mia Fevola and Gustavo Viglio went straight to the top of the leaderboard after performing a Viennese waltz that Craig called “gorgeous” and Mark called “flawless”.
Shaun Micallef and his partner Ash-Leigh Hunter then delivered a lively foxtrot.

Osher Günsberg and Sriani Argaet took to the stage with a jive that got nice comments from the judges but terrible scores.
And finally, Felicity Ward and Aric Yegudkin closed the night with a well-received cha-cha-cha.
As for the elimination, it was Karina who was sent home.

Michael Usher kicked off Episode 3 with a paso doble. His performance got a luke-warm reception from the judges with Helen Richey calling him “terrific” but with Craig Revel Horwood calling him “too square”.
Susie O’Neill was up next with a foxtrot. The judges didn’t care for it all at and gave her only 15 points out of a possible 40.

Trent Cotchin also performed a foxtrot while Harry Garside did an emotional contemporary.
The judges called Rebecca Gibney’s Viennese waltz “regal” and “elegant”.
And Brittany Hockley wowed everyone with a samba.

The duo performed a paso doble which Helen Richey didn’t care for but Sharna Burgess praised.

Kyle Shilling and his partner Lily Cornish went next with a cha-cha-cha. While it was well received, all of the judges did call out Kyle’s poor technique.
Mark Wilson loved Karina Carvalho and her partner Andrey Gorbunov’s Viennese waltz. “I thought you really sold the performance beautifully,” he said.
As for Mia Fevola and her partner Gustavo Viglio, all of the judges agreed their cha-cha-cha was excellent.

Sadly, the same can’t be said for Osher Günsberg and his partner Sriani Argaet. He received the lowest score of the night for his and Sriani’s foxtrot.
And finally, Shaun Micallef and his partner Ash-Leigh Hunter performed a cheeky quickstep that both the audience and judges loved.

Episode 1
Co-hosts Sonia Kruger and Dr Chris Brown kicked off the 2025 season of Dancing with the Stars by introducing this year’s 12 contestants – see the full list here.

They then announced that six of the 12 would perform in this episode, and the other six in Episode 2.
Trent Cotchin and his partner Jess Raffa kicked off this year’s competition with an “assertive” tango; which got mixed reviews from the judges… Sharna Burgess loved it and Craig Revel Horwood said the performance “lacked any form of passion”.
Brittany Hockley and her partner Craig Monley performed a cha-cha-cha; she too got mixed reviews from the judges.

Harry Garside and his partner Siobhan Power took to the floor with a jive, which ALSO got mixed reviews from the judges… Helen Richey said Harry might be “the heavyweight in this competition” whereas Craig said his performance was “messy”.
Susie O’Neill and her partner Lyu Masuda also performed a tango. But it was not well received; she got the lowest score of the night.
Michael Usher on the other hand got the highest score of the night thanks to the foxtrot he performed with his partner Natalie Lowe. All four judges praised Michael for his “footwork” and “charisma”.

Last to perform was Rebecca Gibney and her partner Ian Waite. They took on the cha-cha-cha. The judges did have a few criticisms for the Logie winner but ultimately they all liked the performance.
