Despite the fact he was thrust into the spotlight due to his very contentious appearance on Married At First Sight, bad boy Dean Wells has no plans to tune into season seven of the unconventional dating experiment.

EXCLUSIVE: Jessika Power REACTS to the first episode of MAFS 2020

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the reality TV veteran— who sparked outrage when he infamously cheated on his MAFS wife, Tracey Jewel— implied he’s now above the controversial series, and no longer wishes to be associated with it.

“I haven’t watched MAFS, I’m not into it,” said Dean. “It is like watching a magician knowing the trick and knowing how it is done and how they got the result. They have ruined all the tricks so I can’t watch MAFS anymore.”

Oooh, ok big shot.

His shock comments come after rumours began swirling that the MAFS alum was tipped to hand out the coveted red rose on the upcoming season of The Bachelor. While an insider said Network 10 producers were waiting to see how he rates on Dancing With The Stars before officially enlisting him to appear on the show, Dean later denied these claims.

“As far as I know there’s nothing like that in the works,” Dean told radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on KIIS FM last week. “That’s all I really know about it. I probably know as much as you guys.”

Interestingly, many Aussie reality TV fans rejoiced when he confirmed he wouldn’t be finding love on another reality show. Others were also less than impressed when he announced his role on DWTS, with Georgia Love’s finance Lee Elliott branding Dean a “sexist bigot” in a blistering social media attack.

“When did this country star celebrating intolerable, sexist, chauvinistic bigots?” Lee wrote alongside Dean’s promotional photo.

Lee made it clear he was referring to Dean, as the words covered every single cast member except the reality star.

After his explosive attack made headlines, dean rejected Lee’s accusations.

“I am as far from any of those things as a person can be,” said Dean, who once called himself an “alpha male”. “Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. However, if he had ever actually met me, he would know that I am as far from any of those things as a person can be. I don’t judge anyone based on gender, ethnicity, sexuality or any other such traits.

“I am choosing to ignore negativity and focus on the challenge of learning to dance and hopefully raising money for my nominated charity, the BridgIT Water Foundation. That’s what it’s [the show] all about.”
