So, how does the popular WAG deal with criticism and online hate? She says she doesn’t read into it!
“The party got a lot of attention on my Instagram, but I don’t really read any of [the stuff written about me],” she told The Daily Telegraph. “It’s just clickbait. I’m too busy being busy. I’m a mum of four kids and I have got a million jobs.
“I just haven’t got time to waste, really. I feel like I’ve evolved past all that, too. It’s been a long time, probably 15 years in this industry. I just don’t let it bother me at all. It was a lot of fun and it was good to celebrate moving into the house.”
Last month, Rebecca— who shares four children with her husband— came under fire when she revealed that days before her housewarming event was due to take place, she realised her twin sons’ kindergarten orientation day was scheduled for the same time her guests were set to arrive.
Telling her KIIS FM listeners on The 3pm Pick Up, the speech therapist confirmed she and her hubby Chris decided to send their nanny to Tom and Darcy’s first day of school, which she jokingly described as a “parenting fail”.
While she felt guilty, she breathed a sigh of relief when she discovered she wasn’t the only one who favoured partying at their $7.3 million Brighton home over attending their child’s orientation day!
“The funniest thing was, half of the parents in their class were invited to the party, so all their kids went in with randoms as well. Isn’t it funny! Your last kids, you just send them off with someone.
“The first kids, I would have cancelled the party and held their hands and walked them in,” she continued, adding she was less worried about sending her son’s off with the nanny seeing as she knew what to expect from the meeting.
Days after her admission, Rebecca’s fans turned on her for plastering her Judchella party on social media while thousands of Australians struggle to come to terms with the devastation the recent bushfires have caused.
An avid follower of the WAG recently reached out to WHO.com.au, telling us she was extremely disappointed to see her polite Instagram comment— which asked her to consider donating to charity instead of blowing money on a party— was deleted and she was later blocked.
“I would like to make the public aware of Rebecca Judd’s response to my comment on her ‘housewarming party’ photos on Instagram. I highlighted that it would be more positive and encouraging for people to see her give back to the community given the devastation from the bushfires and how financially blessed she is… instead of flashing her money with posts such as this,” the angry user told WHO. “She has blocked me on Instagram and deleted my comment from her post.”
After realising she’d deleted the comment, the user’s sister wrote: “How come you blocked my sister after she raised the question as to your involvement in charity?
“As a public figure, you’re supposed to be a role model to young women, spending what must have been 10s of thousands on lavish parties that you could have easily organised to raise awareness and funds for charity (and had equally as much fun). There is little if any attempt at raising charitable awareness on your social media. You have the power to share messages and awareness but instead, you block someone who questions why you don’t?”
Moments after they shared their thoughts, they were also blocked and the comment was deleted.
